I enjoy all food with Middle Eastern flavours and so does my family. One of our favourite dips is hummus, and i love making different flavours. I never thought of incorporating hummus in my baking though, so this is quite revolutionary.
When I came across this idea on social media, it sounded quite interesting. I had leftover hummus in my fridge and it was National Brownie Day, so it was the perfect opportunity to give it a go!
The combination does seem quite odd but the end result is amazing.
This recipe aims to create a dairy free brownie, if that is your preference. I opted to use half butter and half hummus as I only had 1/4 cup of hummus. The hummus adds an amazing creaminess to the batter and the best part is how quick and easy this recipe is to make.
I have adapted it from the original, and I hope you give it a try!
